Info
Manni's tea-chests are handmade tea-chest-basses of high quality.
Tea-chests used to be made as wooden boxes to deliver tea in.
Nowadays tea is imported welt in plastic bags.
So, is it a problem to get a tea-chest today? - No, because I produce it.
I take special plywood, fix it with sturdy strips of wood and so get
light, very well playable and sounding tea-chest-basses.
You can download a
mp3-file.

The sizes are:
Such a bass weighs only about 6.5 kg - a system for easy carrying included. If necessary it can also be produced for left-handed musicians. (Please mention at order.)

It's possible to remove the ground board. Then you can use the box as container for whatever you like?

I also invented a handle piece to relieve the little finger.
After a three-hour-gig you can still use your little finger. You won't need a glove at your left hand any longer. So playing this bass is more fun especially in summer.

For hobby painters I deliver the tea-chest-bass without surface finish. Normally you get it with perfect surface finish in light brown with dark brown sturdy strips of wood. If you like you can put your logo on it as I did it for my band (see photo).
